Out and About on a Tuesday Afternoon

Just wanted to bring up some things I saw – so how about an open thread?

The San Francisco TEA Party (yes, there is such a thing – and its larger and more visible than you’d think) protested Obama’s recent fund raiser.  The most telling thing about it?  The gathered Obama-bots made a mess – strewing trash all over the place – and it was the TEA Party activists who cleaned it up.  One does wonder – do liberals know what “citizenship” means?

There is a report that there is joint US-Israeli planning for a strike at Iran’s nuclear program.  There are two things, in my view, which this can be:

1.  Eye wash to the Israelis to keep them thinking we’ll do something until after the election – then if Obama is re-elected, Israel will be left in the lurch.

2.  A desperate ploy by Team Obama to have a rally ’round the flag moment late in the game – we bomb Iran, Americans feel better about Obama, Obama wins re-election (it won’t work – but I don’t put making such an attempt past the Obama people).

No, there is no chance that clear eyed  national security reasons would motivate anyone in the Obama Administration about this.

You know you’ve won the gun control debate when the argument is whether or not the cops have a right to assume that your concealed weapon is un-licensed.  They don’t, in my view, but I do see the point:  95% of firearms are not licensed for concealed carry but, on the other hand, the chances of someone carrying a concealed weapon who is un-licensed to do so is also very small.  Long way from demands that all handguns be banned or that the 2nd amendment only secured the right to bear arms to police and military personnel.

Iowahawk strikes again:  White House scientists fight outbreak of the dread disease scrutonium.

Yes, there are bags of polls showing Romney surging.  I won’t bother linking them – you can find them everywhere right now.  My prediction of a Romney win was never based on polling, so I’m not about to start citing polls.  It is the fundamental dynamics of the race asserting themselves – so much so that now, even with a lot of polls heavily over-sampling Democrats (some have stopped doing so in such an egregious manner), Romney is coming out in the lead.  Remember:  Obama never has had much chance of winning.  He’s not this super-genious who felled our best in 2008 and whom we could only beat by a string of massive good luck.  He’s a lousy President (meaning, on an executive, decision-making level) who’s policies have failed and who is running for re-election as America is on the cusp of renewed recession.  If we can’t beat Obama in 2012 then it might be time to fold up the tents and go home – not since 1980 has a political party been handed to many advantages when trying to take out an incumbent.  Obama can still win; it ain’t over until its over…but it was always an uphill climb for Obama, not for the GOP (I just wish we had had more guts and had worked out better plans to challenge Obama and the Democrats even in the bluest States).

Its been mostly out of the news lately, but Europe continues to melt down.  I’m astounded they’ve managed to keep it together this long.  I don’t know how much longer they’ll be able to keep it up.  Once it goes, though, the world will go through a very sharp financial crisis.

So, Zuckerberg could have built Facebook without the internet? He is good! Love the Jay Leno parody clips masquerading as real footage, too. And the “Obama vacation” jabs are hysterical (President Obama has been on vacation 78 days from 2009 to 2011. At the three year mark into their first terms, George W. Bush spent 180 days at his ranch in Crawford, Texas and Ronald Reagan spent 112 vacation days at his ranch in California.)

Christine “not a witch” O’Donnell is spending her PAC money wisely, I see.

I’m not a hip-hop fan, but this is catchy, and funny, and good.

But glad to see you enjoyed the clip. As I said, I thought it was catchy, and funny, and good.

As for the “vacation” time of Reagan and Bush, this has been addressed so often there is no way you can be unaware that these two men worked when they were at their ranches, had staff with them, and even entertained foreign dignitaries. They did not swan around like bobble-dead dolls in high-dollar resorts, sucking up to the rich and famous.

You know this, yet you continue to spew the same hateful vomit. Says pretty much all we need to know about you.

That, and the fact you are so desperate you have to attack FORMER presidents because you can’t defend the one you have. That’s gotta sting. (Even Chrissie Matthews is still sniffling about that.)

Now, now, GMB, freakzo has clearly gotten his marching orders, in this case to try to distract from the debacle that IS Obama by referencing former presidents.

The thing is, he’s not too bright, so he thought this meant delving back into the 19th Century. I’m sure we will soon be treated to an explanation of how much time Washington spent at Mount Vernon, to try to balance out Barry’s goofing-off time.

Just in this thread he has had to channel Lincoln, Reagan and Bush 43.

      Anything but Obama, eh, freaky?

The same can be said for you tommy-boy. You swore by the polls before and now that obAMATEUR is consistently losing ground you are now whining to others about them.

Your polling info is somewhat antiquated.

four more years of this AMATEUR? The nation as a whole could not afford it.

Brilliant, Cav, absolutely brilliant. I see your time in Hell has honed your ability to perceive the obvious.

Well, aside from the obvious that thinking you are living in Hell is proof you are nuts, anyway. But one step at a time…………..

    Neo,
“... the ‘ranch’ was set up as a second white house (for George W. Bush)…

So was the Rancho del Cielo (Reagan) as was Casa de Pacifica (Nixon); working from a different location is still working; something the community agitator has never done since he never had a real J-O-B.

Btw, I’ve been away for a while (work from hell you know) but am wondering what’s happened to the libiots that polluted this site before the debate. the last thing I read was Watty pining-on about how we (the editorial “we”) were going to be praising Romney’s performance the day after the debate in spite of his pathetic performance and making excuses for his gaffs.

Where are the libiots to lecture us on what Obama “really meant” and that he looked bad because “Romney lied” and that we must rally to save Big Bird? Did you know the guy in the Big Bird costume makes over $300 grand a year? The guy in the costume is a One-Percent-er??? They toss around money like that to the lowest man on the financial ladder and they need taxpayer support?

But, I digress … other than the infantile taunts of bozo, and the cartoon-ish rantings of Captain Obvious above the libiots are remarkably silent; are they waiting for the second coming of their messiah? Hiding in mommy’s basement lighting candles and chanting Oriens splendor lucis aeternae Et Obama justitae: veni Et illumine sedentes in tenebris Et umbra mortis? Watching Sesame Street with tears rolling down their cheeks, rocking back and forth & repeating “just wait … just wait … I’ll get them … he’ll be back! Obama will show them”?

      Count, we missed you.

And we, too, have been noticing the conspicuous absence of the Troll Brigade. Out vandalizing Romney signs instead of the blog?

I just figured that Chrissy Matthews and Bill Maher said it all—between the wimp factor and blowing Bill’s million on weed, I thought they covered most of the bases. Except for the one that had them electing the doofus in the first place—-that’s one they really don’t want to touch,

Because the elephant in the room is that the Obama we saw at the debate is the same Obama we saw the Left lining up to swoon over, weep over, and vote for. This is not a new guy. It’s just that now they are stuck with the hard cold truth—that he fooled them, and therefore made fools OF them, while the rest of us watched them do it,

        neo,

the Public Broadcasting folks tell us the Government only supplies 6% of their revenue and the bulk of the money comes from Corporations and private donations.

I believe this to be true, so why then are they so apoplectic over losing taxpayer Money if Taxpayer Money is such an insignificant part of their business?

As to the salaries of the Sesame Workshop Execs; let them sell their product to ABC or CBS or FOX, they’ll make even more money AND the Network can sell advertising time and make more money still!

But, because Obama doesn’t understand business and libiots believe the all the pleasures of life are the product of government largess they will continue to expect you and I to pay for Sesame Street and Teletubbies.

Brought to you by the Letter D’Oh!

      • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 7:20 pm

neo, PBS is like any other business, and it can decide how much it wants to pay anyone working there. Romney would have no authority to fire anyone at PBS—-though, now that I think of it, a precedent HAS been set at GM.

But no, this is a private corporation, and all we can do is stop funding it with taxpayer dollars. When that is done, I couldn’t care less how much they pay anyone who works for them.

I can only venture a guess, Count. The dishonest, brain-dead trolls like Dave and James are continuing to have their comments thrown in the circular file. Velma and Mitch probably failed to pay their DNC dues and got deleted from the talking points email blast list, and the honest (and I use that word hesitatingly) Lefties like Dennis and Watson are probably too embarrassed (illustrating they still possess some vestige of humanity) by the implosion of their world view right before their eyes to show their faces around here. But we still have the vacuous droppings of Bozo to entertain us, so all is not lost.

I was thinking recently, didn’t you proffer last year that Oblabla was trying to lose?

Based on the lethargic debate performance, anemic response to terrorism, and the Grand Answer to Romney’ surge is a snarky Big Bird advertisement, I have to say Oblabla looks for all the world like he’s trying to lose.

      • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 5:35 pm

I think they are hiding out because they have finally realized that our reaction to them is not the anger and rage they pride themselves on generating, but really that we are just pointing at them and laughing.

When a Japanese cartoon shows Romney all muscular and wearing big boxing gloves, and Barry in a propeller beanie, it tells you how this group is perceived.

Between the ridicule on one side and the cascade of serious lies and efforts to cover up blatant incompetence on the other (Libya) these guys don’t have much to bring to the table.

Though I hear bozo is busily researching statements by Grover Cleveland and hunting down the rumor of a hand-drawn poster of John Adams’ face superimposed over an American flag.

However it would appear that all alcohol and smokes are not in as big demand as they were this time of year in 08. Cook county is the hardest hit.

The hysteria about cutting federal funding to PBS reminds me of similar wall-kicking about doing the same with Planned Parenthood.

Now that the Dems are not trying to convince Colorado women that Mitt Romney is going to try to get employers to DENY ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE FOR WOMEN !!!!!! they are running an ad, many times a day, in which Romney is shown saying, in a clip that is so obviously cut off no one could miss the fact that it is only a few words from a more complete statement, that as far as Planned Parenthood is concerned, he wants “to get rid of that”.

Naturally this is supposed to mean that under a Romney presidency, the evil bastids would GET RID OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD !!!!!!!!!

I am hoping that before the end of the month we will see an ad which debunks the lies, or at least as many as can be fit into a short ad, with the commentary that when people have to stoop so low, to lie so blatantly, we know this is their only shot at winning.

    • Retired Spook October 10, 2012 / 5:58 pm

I am hoping that before the end of the month we will see an ad which debunks the lies, or at least as many as can be fit into a short ad

I’ve been thinking that for several months, but a couple recent conversations with customers who identify themselves as Independents gives me reason to think that it’s not necessary at this point. One of the two people I spoke with is a left-leaning Independent who voted for Obama in 2008, and he’s continued to support Obama up until the debate. He said he was ashamed that, as an analytical type, he hadn’t realized what a “schmuck” (his word, not mine) Obama is. He actually donated to the Romney campaign the day after the debate.

The other, a lady who owns a small printing company, was turned off by McCain in 2008, but couldn’t bring herself to pull the lever for Obama and didn’t vote. She considers herself an Independent, but comes from a family of Democrats. She said all but one member of her family is going to vote for Romney, and that her business simply can’t afford 4 more years of what we’ve experienced in the last 4. Even my radical Leftist pal at the Y has completely lost his enthusiasm for Obama, and may not vote.

    • Count d'Haricots October 10, 2012 / 6:20 pm

As long as we’re relating personal anecdotes; my “boss” is a lifelong Democrat, married to a Union worker, who felt obligated to vote for Obama again because he’s done an “okay job” up till now.

After the debate she told me she was giving Romney a second look because (and this relates to Amazona’s point) the “Five Trillion $ Tax Cut for the Rich” story that Obama kept returning to, was repeated in the days after as a big Romney lie. But, she said, “Romney said right there in the debate that it wasn’t true” and yet Obama keeps repeating it.

Why does he think we didn’t hear what we heard?

I submit, Your Honor, the trust goes to the witness with credibility.

    • Ricorun October 11, 2012 / 7:41 pm

I have an anecdote that’s even closer to home: I am voting for Romney. There are many reasons why, but his new-found ideological purity is not one of them. I voted for Obama the last time around, but that decision wasn’t based on his supposed ideological purity, either (thank God). Every president governs from the center, despite what they say during the campaign. Reagan was no exception. Obama is no exception. That wasn’t a surprise.

I just don’t like Obama’s style. I don’t like the way he handles his underlings. His oratory skills, and his suspected ability to lead by persuasion from the top, never appeared. Even on his supposedly signatory achievement — Obamacare — his leadership was noticeably lacking. That’s not the sign of a strong president. I’m not saying he is a dismal president — and if he were facing a McCain/Palin ticket again, I’d probably vote for him again. But Romney is a much stronger candidate than McCain. For the record, I decided that before the debates, which is why I suggested that those who really believed Romney would win should put their money where their mouth was on InTrade ASAP. I didn’t “bet the farm” on it of course, but if I cashed in right now I’d be looking at almost a 15% return (after the “juice”). Not a bad week, eh? But I’m not inclined to cash in just yet. I’m not saying why, so don’t consider it a recommendation. I’m not a financial planner and I don’t do recommendations. So if I were to say I’ve divested my interests in solar PV installers, don’t pay attention. It’s just cuz I’m a loon — but apparently no longer a “lefty loon”.

  5. J. R. Babcock October 10, 2012 / 6:31 pm

The last 26 days of this campaign are going to be all about momentum, and the momentum has clearly shifted to Romney. Mid October is a rotten time to lose momentum, because chances are any response by Obama is going to be perceived by the majority of undecided voters as panic and desperation. If Romney and Ryan take advantage of the recent miscues and serial lying by the administration on the Libya fiasco in the remaining debates, no amount of lying and money will repair the damage.

    • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 7:06 pm

      “…panic and desperation…”

You mean like having to run on “Don’t Kill Big Bird” and “We’re still pretty sure it was all about that video” and his latest campus speech on—-wait for it—–GLOBAL WARMING !!!! ?

Barry has already caved under the force of Romney’s confidence and being called on his lies. I don’t know when I’ve been as tickled as I was at “I’ve been in business more than 25 years and I have no idea what you’re talking about” regarding the “reward” for sending business overseas. Barry looked like someone slapped him in the face with a dead fish.

I think the serial lying is going to catch up with them. Sticking to Fast and Furious and Benghazi, with a comment every now and then on Solyndra, with Fiskar as an actual case of TAXPAYER DOLLARS being sent overseas, and the Dems will deflate so fast the campaign will look like the aftermath of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Just look at F&F and Benghazi. How can anyone overcome these two things alone, even without the added weight of billions of dollars being thrown at Obama supporters, unsustainable debt, outrageous unemployment, and a downgrade to our credit rating?

      • Retired Spook October 10, 2012 / 7:21 pm

the Dems will deflate so fast the campaign will look like the aftermath of the Thanksgiving Day Parade.

Any bets as to which one of these two photos the National Mall will look like after Romney’s inauguration?

    • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 7:16 pm

And let’s not forget the big boost the Dems got from OWS and the gay “marriage” kerfluffle and the attack on religion as shown in the whole birth control thing. I think maybe four or five people in the bowels of the Dem organization really believe the bogus “war on women” thing is going to be effective, completely oblivious to the fact that they are making the Left a laughingstock.

Oh no!! Oh no!! The Big Meanie Republicans are going to DENY ACCESS TO HEALTH CARE FOR WOMEN!! And repealing Roe v Wade will make abortion ILLEGAL !!!!! And Mitt Romney really wants to GET RID OF PLANNED PARENTHOOD !!!!! and not just halt federal funding for it.

I should have invested in exclamation marks before this election cycle, given the amount of overwrought hysteria the Left is trying to generate.

I think one big difference in this election cycle is that Romney is focusing on the intelligent, analytical and rational, while the Left is concentrating on holding on to the lowest level of any given demographic, the stupidest, most gullible, and most easily led by hate.

  6. GMB October 10, 2012 / 7:22 pm

Don’t forget Hillary. barky is going to throw blame for the Libya fiasco at everyone but himself. Hillary will catch more than her fair share of that blame.

    Perfect time for that torpedo.

    • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 7:31 pm

I was thinking that, too. How funny to see the two shining stars in the Dem sky brought down by the same event——and to have it done by their own hands.

The State Department refused many requests for more security, in spite of over 200 threats in the past year, and the lied about what happened when our ambassador and three security people were killed. (Well, not the WHOLE State Department—just the Secretary of State and a couple of minions. State got people in there pretty quickly to set the record straight—look for those careers to be trashed ASAP.)

The President of the United States is told we are missing an ambassador after an attack on our embassy—–MISSING OUR AMBASSADOR AFTER AN ATTACK ON OUR EMBASSY—-and he goes to bed, to be briefed in the morning. And then he refuses to comment, lies when his opponent does comment, attack his opponent for telling the truth, lies some more, lies again, continues to lie, etc.

The only thing that could make this any better would be repeated performances by Pelosi and Schumer and Reid, backing up the bogus story and being really active and up front in the coverup attempt. You know when there is a chance to be on camera and Pelosi passes it up, it has to be so toxic even she can recognize it.

    • Count d'Haricots October 10, 2012 / 7:39 pm

I don’t see how there’s anymore room under that bus.

But, Susan Rice is the only US UN Ambassador that doesn’t report to the State Department (Hillary Clinton) and it was Susan Rice that took to the Sunday News Shows to spread the lie about Libya; not Clinton.

The Clintons are too savvy to get caught in an Obama incompetence scandal; Hillary will walk away at the end of the term, I personally believe Issa is using Clinton to get to Rice and Rice to get to Obama.

And Clinton will happily give her over.

Just my opinion for what its worth.

      • Count d'Haricots October 10, 2012 / 7:48 pm

More proof that its not the crime but the cover up.

The State Department (Clinton) advised Congress on September 12 that Benghazi was a terrorist attack, not a “demonstration that got out of control”.

He made clear that this was a sophisticated attack,” said one Hill staff aide with a security clearance. “He indicated this was fairly complex, and not, like, a protest that got out of hand. … These were not the kind of weapons you tote around.”

      • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 7:49 pm

You are right—-Hillary’s response was truly Clintonesque in its parsing. When I saw her make her statement, it seemed quite clear to me that she was also blaming the video for the violence, but reading the transcript shows that she merely implicated it.

“From State Department web site, September 12

There will be more time later to reflect, but today, we have work to do. There is no higher priority than protecting our men and women wherever they serve. We are working to determine the precise motivations and methods of those who carried out this assault. Some have sought to justify this vicious behavior, along with the protest that took place at our Embassy in Cairo yesterday, as a response to inflammatory material posted on the internet. America’s commitment to religious tolerance goes back to the very beginning of our nation. But let me be clear – there is no justification for this, none. Violence like this is no way to honor religion or faith. And as long as there are those who would take innocent life in the name of God, the world will never know a true and lasting peace.”

Right as usual Amazona. But, let’s look a the history of Federal Departments that fail to do their jobs; when was the last time a Cabinet Level person was held accountable for failure?

Hillary could have personally told the Ambassador “Sorry Cabron, your on your own” and Congress will at most issue a stinging letter to Obama citing structural failures, then launch into another investigation to find a Blue Ribbon Panel to prevent such an outrage from happening again.

        Am I right?

Count said, “Btw, I’ve been away for a while (work from hell you know) but am wondering what’s happened to the libiots that polluted this site before the debate. the last thing I read was Watty pining-on about how we (the editorial “we”) were going to be praising Romney’s performance the day after the debate in spite of his pathetic performance and making excuses for his gaffs.”

Um, no, I didn’t say that. (And if my memory is faulty, feel free to post a link to the thread where you claim I did.) The last thread I posted on was here:

    https://blogs4victory.wordpress.com/2012/09/30/two-different-worlds-open-thread/#comments

No wonder you like Romney so much. Like him, you simply make things up from one day to the next.

As for the debate, I’ve been traveling for 10 days and didn’t see the debate nor have I checked this blog until now. I didn’t make any predictions and haven’t made any predictions about the election at all. I do find it humorous that you (the editorial “you”) delete my posts and/or ask me to go away, and then when you don’t hear from me for a few days, you make up stuff and ask why I’ve been away. Charming.

    • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 9:57 pm

First post back and you are already whining. But on the bright side, you managed a whole post without using the word “civil”—while calling someone a liar. Charming.

As for thinking you were one of the trolls claiming that Romney would be praised no matter what, well, gee, wattle, you do all sound alike.

      • Count d'Haricots October 10, 2012 / 10:07 pm

My mistake, must have been some other whiny libiot that polluted this site before the debate.

      • watsonredux October 10, 2012 / 10:10 pm

Little Amy, I’ll just remind you that it is you who has obsessively complained about a lack of civility for years around here, and yet you can’t be bothered yourself. It’s called hypocrisy and I’m happy to point it out. And as far as calling others liars, that’s something you know all about, isn’t it?

Unlike Mitt Romney, I don’t think Count lied intentionally. He’s just careless and puts words in other peoples’ mouths.

      • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 11:09 pm

wattle, please quote me on my alleged whining about the incivility of others. I may have commented on the nature of some posters but I don’t remember getting the vapors over name calling directed toward me. I even joked about the fact that a supposed woman thought it insulting to use a gynecological term to describe me.

I have not asked moderators to intercede on my behalf and I figure if I am going to post here I have to be prepared for whatever comes along.

So prove my memory wrong and prove that I have, in fact, “…obsessively complained about a lack of civility for years around here…” That’s pretty specific—“obsessively complained” and “for years” so I am sure you have been collecting examples.

      • Amazona October 10, 2012 / 11:16 pm

As I noted, Count, they do tend to sound alike—lots of personal attacks, lots of Identity Politics, lots of whining about various slights and insults while hurling many more of their own, and not a damned thing about the best political system for governing the country.

I went back through some old wattle posts and it is really amazing, when you look at them in a row like that, to see the continuity of the incessant whining and complaining and carping and general nastiness, the sour and resentful tone that permeates his entire body of work, and then to see his whimpering that gee, people are just not nice to HIM……………..

He comes here only to attack, complain, criticize and spew Lefty talking points, and then he complains about other people. As I have noted, I am not so crude and rude, or OBSESSIVE, that I am compelled to seek out Liberal blogs to harangue them, yet when this is his pathology we are supposed to ignore its inherent incivility.

They are a strange folk, are they not?

      • watsonredux October 10, 2012 / 11:26 pm

You’re a crack up, Amy. Okay, so you never complained about incivility and name-calling and the like. Good for you.

The last time I posted here was to refute a post that claimed that Bush’s “deficit spending issues” started after 2007. That just isn’t true. Then I pointed out the over-the-top scare tactics that some of the other commenters presented. That’s incessant whining?

For the life of me, Amy, I can’t understand why you respond to my every post with two, three, four, or sometimes even eight posts of our own. Do I really get under your skin that badly?

      • tiredoflibbs October 11, 2012 / 6:00 am

Of course, it is easy to confuse, hard to keep track and associate one proggy’s post from another. Why? These mindless drones all regurgitate the same dumbed down talking points and they whine while they do it.

The first thing that watty whines is that we make stuff up (a mistake or misstatement is not the same thing) like Romney. Yet he provides no examples or sources for his dumb ASSertions.

BTW watty, “Romney lied” in the debate has been debunked and has no traction with the free-thinking American people. The polls show it and the obAMATEUR campaign has shifted focus from that pathetic excuse to Big Bird.

If you want to track lies in the debate, you can start with obAMATEUR’s lie about Romney’s $5 trillion tax cut. Where obAMATEUR cites a study and the AUTHOR OF THE STUDY has debunked obAMATEUR’s lies and “conclusions” he made at the debate and in following campaign ads. The author wonders how he obAMATEUR made those conclusions from his study since what obAMATEUR said were LIES and not in his report!!

…or obAMATUER’s claim that the Republicans did not waive the Stafford Act for victims of Hurricane Katrina because most of them were black and the Republicans are racist (stated at the Conference of Ministers in his best rarely used black dialect). The TRUTH of the matter is that the Stafford Act was waived and the appropriations bill for money for the victims (with no matching funds required) has passed the Senate with an overwhelming majority with only 14 Senators voting against it….. AND OBAMATEUR WAS ONE OF THEM!!!!

Watty, go whine at the democraticunderground.com, the pitchfork or the dailyKOS. You will fit right in with no argument or FACTS against you. You can hang out with other mindless drones and not be refuted or challenged.

        Pathetic.

      • watsonredux October 11, 2012 / 10:14 am

tirdy said, “The first thing that watty whines is that we make stuff up (a mistake or misstatement is not the same thing) like Romney. Yet he provides no examples or sources for his dumb ASSertions.”

You are truly obtuse. I spelled out exactly where Count went wrong. He even admitted it. Obviously, he is more of a man than you are.

      • Amazona October 11, 2012 / 10:49 am

” Okay, so you never complained about incivility and name-calling and the like.” Correct.

“Constantly whining” is not the same as “never doing anything but whine”—though there ARE times you approach this, as well.

As for why I respond, yes, your massive ego WOULD see this as a personal response to you, you “getting under my skin”,etc. But as I have repeatedly pointed out, I simply choose to not let lies stand unchallenged. It offends me to let a lie just sit there, uncorrected. It is as if my dog were to mess on the floor and I chose to walk around it instead of clean it up.

You may be so pathetically desperate for attention that you purposely litter the blog with multiple lies, knowing this, but also getting some strange satisfaction from the fact that I, and others, respond. This may very well be your only interaction with other people, and you may have come to believe, over the years, that disdain is an acceptable substitute for respect or being liked.

Whatever. It’s your pathology and I don’t find it very interesting.

But if you prefer, we could appeal to the blog moderators for an addition to blog rules, and ask that all lies simply be deleted, rather than offering an opportunity to counter them with the truth.

This would be a shame, as you are such a perfect tool, presenting falsehood and distortion in such large measure that it gives us, me included, ample opportunity to counter them all. As I have said, many people read this blog without participating, and I enjoy the opportunity you offer, so often, so obsessively, to point out the fallacies and errors of what passes for Leftist political beliefs. You are a perfect example of today’s Lefty—-angry, oh so angry, intent on attacking an imagined Other, totally emotional in your allegiance to a system you don’t even understand, hate-driven, surly, uncritical of the garbage you ingest with such vigor and regurgitate with such glee, and not only clueless but indifferent to the basic structure of our political system.

As I said, a tool. My hammer does not preen when I use it, but evidently human tools find ego gratification in being used to illustrate the follies and fallacies of their pseudo-political posturings.

But do not forget, we can see the change in the tone of the blog when you re-enter it. We can see the introduction of rage and hate and focus on personal attacks, we can see the shift to Identity Politics. You and bozo and mitch are all wonderful illustrations of what the Left depends on, recruits and nurtures and uses as cannon fodder, and the contrast between you and conservatives is quite educational.

      • Count d'Haricots October 11, 2012 / 11:11 am

        Witless Wattle
I’m never wrong; you are a whiny libiot polluting this site, not the only whiny libiot polluting this site mind you, but in this case it was another whiny libiot polluting this site.

And there is no such thing as “the editorial ‘you’” just like there is no such thing as an honest liberal.

Are these donks predictable or what? Simply as pathetic as pretending to have not seen their pResidential candidate’s Debacle in Denver.

      • Amazona October 11, 2012 / 11:39 am

Wattle’s just got back, posted three posts, and all are about—-HIM.

How he feels, how people react to him, how he is picked on, waaaa waaaa waaaaa, snivel snivel.

Maybe he ought to watch a video of the debate and talk about something oh, I don’t know, POLITICAL?

Tomorrow we get to chat about Slow Joe and HIS debate performance. At least WE will. The trolls will frantically be trying to deflect and distract. We might get another 150+ year old picture of a flag with someone’s face on it, or a quote from a presidential campaign back in the 19th Century, or an account of a county precinct head in Iowa in 1966 letting his unregistered cousin vote, the bastid.

Did you know that Ann Romney rides horses? We have been told that dressage is an activity engaged in only by the very very VERY rich, you know—-so much for all the average horsepeople I have known for decades who study dressage, train for dressage, and love the discipline. (Did you know that one of the great dressage horses of all time was a Mustang rescued through the Wild Horse program?) But it might be time to show pictures of people in clothes that kinda LOOK like they ought to be worn by rich people, to prove that the Romneys are “out of touch”.

I’m sure the list of diversionary tactics has been prepared and is being sent out to the lemmings as I type, through their talking heads and their blogs. Ryan is pretty untouchable, given that the Catholic vote has already taken a hit with the effort to restrict religious liberty in the birth control kerfluffle, so his religion ought to be off limits, and so far no one has come forth to say Ryan pulled her pigtails when they were in 4th grade, so the Diversion Squad has its work cut out for it.

But they know they have freakzo and mitche and the wattle out there, along with thousands of other lemmings, eager to get out there and distract, divert, deflect and destroy.

      • Amazona October 11, 2012 / 12:00 pm

Speaking of whining—–even poor Dave Letterman is stuck in Whine Mode. Poor baby, he is being dissed by Romney, and his ego is bruised. He can snap his fingers and get THE PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES to drop everything and come on his show, but this upstart conservative candidate doesn’t have the time of day for him!

        How can that BE?

Well, it could be that Romney just finds Dave irrelevant, a pumped up egotistical blowhard with delusions of grandeur, when he’s not diddling his employees that is.

Or it could be Patrick Leahy Syndrome. Remember how Leahy would savage people when the cameras were rolling, lying and snarling and playing ‘gotcha’, and then when the cameras were off he would try to be buddy-buddy with the guy with the knife sticking out of his back? Dick Cheney, God love him, would have no part of this groveling hypocrisy and told Leahy just what he could do with himself and his two-faced blustering, which of course got the fragile flowers of the Left in a tizzy.

So now poor whiny Letterman is faced with someone who is doing the same thing, albeit without the colorful language. He is not being told what to do with himself, he is just being ignored. Now, after months of Letterman sliming Romney, attacking him, lying about him, smearing him, and generally acting like a tool of the Left, Letterman is facing the prospect of eight years of —-gasp!!—–
        NO PRESIDENT ON HIS SHOW!!!

The ego has landed, folks, and it was a crash landing.

Little Amy said, “But do not forget, we can see the change in the tone of the blog when you re-enter it.”

And do you know why? Because you and tired and Harriet can’t help yourselves. You practically push each other out of the way in order to denigrate anyone who states an opposing position or counters your falsehoods with facts. You clowns are the ones who injected me into this thread even though I hadn’t posted here in nearly two weeks. Why? Because you, tired, and Harriet are desperate to belittle others. Apparently it makes you feel good.

As far as being “pathetically desperate for attention that you purposely litter the blog with multiple lies,” you are the textbook example. Anyway, you’ll be glad to know I’m headed out for the day. Please do try to refrain from thinking and posting about me while I’m gone. It would do you some good.

      • Amazona October 11, 2012 / 12:18 pm

Oooooh…such a biting response! What does the wattle have to say?

        1. That I am just a big liar-face, narny narny narny. No examples, just a hit-and-run slam backed up by—-nada.

        2. That he, the wattle, is so important that he has to BEG me to not think about him.

        3. The only reason the blog gets ickier when he is on it is because we challenge his lies, though of course it is just personal because we are nothing but big meanies picking on him, waaaa waaaaa waaaaa.

      • tiredoflibbs October 11, 2012 / 12:31 pm

        Really Watty?

I did not see any sources or explicit examples where Romney “made stuff up”, as I stated. At the time of my writing, I did not see Count’s response. But then again as I accurately stated you drones all sound alike with your pathetic whining and repeating the same crap verbatim!

You are even a lesser man than anyone here! You just regurgitate mindless BS from the pResident on down to Ditzy Debbie!

You also completely ignored the PROVEN lies told by obAMATEUR!!!

Again, that makes you the mindless dumbed down drone you truly are!!!

        Pathetic.

      • tiredoflibbs October 11, 2012 / 12:39 pm

Watty the whiner: “You practically push each other out of the way in order to denigrate anyone who states an opposing position or counters your falsehoods with facts.”

As I accurately pointed out several times. You haven’t presented any facts! You just regurgitate the mindless talking points. You haven’t responded to any facts we presented. You just ignore them.

ObAMATEUR’s latest pathetic excuse for his poor performance was that “he was too polite”!!! Polite?!? With smirking at every answer from Romney, not looking at him while he responded, etc etc. I thought his poor performance was due to Romney making stuff up? I see that excuse went out the window since he, like you, has not provided any proof of Romney’s lies.

You are denigrated because you are a mindless drones repeating the lies from your masters…. Nothing more.

      • Amazona October 11, 2012 / 12:58 pm

Isn’t that “I was just too polite” thing a hoot?

I wonder if it is going to catch on.

Denver Broncos defensive line: “We coulda won but we were just too polite and let the Patriots run past us. Next time we’re gonna bring it, you can count on that!”

Ryan Lochte could easily have beaten Michael Phelps in the 100m Butterfly and 200m Individual Medley at the Olympics, but he was just too darned POLITE.

State Department: “We could have honored Ambassador Stevens’ request for more security but we were too polite to offend the Libyan people.”

Oh, wait, that last one is real…………..

Anyway, it is just the latest in a long line of limp, lame, excuses. The sad thing is, I think Barry might actually believe this. After a week of being pumped up by his handlers, he might actually think he either laid a glove on Romney or he could have if he wanted to.

But I don’t think Romney is going to be fazed by the Mad Daddy scowl that Barry seems to think shows fearsome resolve. Maybe he can intimidate Mitt by kicking a door…………..

      • Amazona October 11, 2012 / 1:04 pm

Before the Lib panties get too badly twisted, let me make it clear that I am not saying Obama DID kick a door—-

—but the video showing that he did could be an inspiration.

Because I don’t think the format allows Valerie Jarrett onstage with him to provide the backbone he will need, instead of his usual surly pouting.

I pointed out that I didn’t say anything like that. Harriet just made it up, and she admitted as much. Pretty simple, and we all could have left it there. That the rest of this thread changed in tone is due to your own responses.

    From: http://www.redstate.com/2012/10/10/the-american-political-presss-psycho-moment/

“The public does not trust what the media reports. The public does not trust that the media relates to them or their values. The public does not trust that the press is not a collaborator with the political class. A majority of Americans consistently reject gay marriage and the majority of the mainstream media portrays them as troglodyte bigots. A majority of Americans are suspicious of much of what they hear from the political press these days, but the political press would rather ridicule the skeptical news consumers than explain what’s going on.

A media that is right now seeing Barack Obama’s Administration try to spin its way out of what happened in Libya is incredulous that any Americans could doubt a household survey on jobs that seemingly conflicts with a corporate survey on jobs that is more widely accepted by economists.

This is an administration whose Internal Revenue Service “accidentally” leaked confidential tax information about a number of conservative groups and the press buys the accident. This is an administration whose HHS Secretary was found guilty of a Hatch Act violation and the press said it was no big deal. This is an administration that put political cronies in Inspectors General positions, if it bothered to fill them at all, then saw the Inspectors General report away Fast & Furious, the New Black Panthers litigation, etc. and the press yawned.

This is an administration that said Osama Bin Laden was dead and Al Qaeda was on the run when we now see Al Qaeda alive and our assassinated ambassador dragged through the streets of Benghazi.

Still, most of the political press yawns. After all, there’s a non-scandal about Mitt Romney and abortion to focus on and his remarks on the 47% and . . .”
